Welcome to Wild Geese Sanctuary

Hello and welcome to Wild Geese Sanctuary. My name is Natasha Salemme and I am a licensed mental health counselor (license #LH60545198) and massage therapist (license #MA61653117). I provide client-centered, holistic therapy that involves a unique blend of therapy and massage tailored to meet each individual’s needs. My main offerings include:

Biodynamic Massage

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Somatic Experiencing (SE)

Body-focused practices (including yoga, meditation, and qigong)

Support groups and workshops for women (Spring 2026)

I have been practicing as a mental health therapist for over 13 years and during this time I have come to learn that each individual has within them the inner resources to heal from past traumas, hurts, and pain and to live healthy, balanced, and meaningful lives. I have found somatic therapies, mindfulness-based practices, and biodynamic massage to be helpful aids in processing and healing a wide range of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual injuries. These same modalities help us access and connect with our true nature, health, and inner resources. I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves and reunite with the wholeness of our beings.

As a biodynamic mind-body practitioner, I consider my role to be a guide, facilitator, support person, cheerleader, and lantern holder to aid in your healing journey. I offer my presence, guidance, and care as we explore your inner landscapes and terrain - from the darkest and most excruciating, to the most warm and blissful, and everything in between. I am with you as you access, unwind, and heal from deep rooted patterns of pain, wounding, and trauma and when you reconnect with your inner resources and light. I share tools, insights, and guidance along the way, but I do not consider myself to be an “expert” or any more knowledgeable or capable than you. I provide presence, loving-kindness, authenticity, encouragement, and humor, as well as tea and chocolate, in our shared time together.

Women:

My practice primarily focuses on serving women, though I am open to working with any person who feels they may benefit from what I offer.

  • I often serve other practitioners and providers (such as therapists, parents, nurses/doctors, teachers, social workers, etc.).

  • My holistic approach works well with people who suffer from chronic health issues, various ailments, or chronic pain.

  • I have a great amount of experience working with women, especially moms, with complex trauma histories.

  • I commonly work with people who display symptoms related to anxiety, depression, high nervous system activation, fatigue, being easily overwhelmed, extreme mood fluctuations, relationship challenges, and addictions.

Children and Adolescents:

I occasionally accept children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety-related challenges or depressive symptoms.

  • I include mindfulness and body-focused practices to help kids/teens become more present and attuned to their physical bodies.

  • I support kids/teens with symptoms related to anxiety that may be impacting their health, peer relationships, and schooling.

  • I accept kids/teens who struggle with depressive symptoms, including low self worth, poor body image, issues with bullying, disordered eating patterns, and self-harming behaviors.

  • Generally my work with children and adolescents does not include hands-on work or massage, though exceptions are made on a case by case basis with child and parent consent.

  • I offer parenting support/guidance and offer family sessions when appropriate.

Note to parents: I require parent engagement for children under age 13. All individuals 13+ consent for their own treatment, but I encourage family/parent involvement. I do not work with kids/teens with complex needs or who are involved in custody cases.

Biodynamic Massage

About Biodynamic Massage

Developed by Todd Jackson in Portland, Oregon, biodynamic massage is a helpful modality in accessing and releasing the bound-up emotions and traumas held in our bodies. As opposed to many other approaches that try to “fix” what is “wrong” with a person, this practice allows the body’s health and inner resource to guide the way of healing. When we meet different aspects of a person’s body with deep quietness and presence, the recipient’s system can then reorganize into its original state of wholeness and wellbeing.

Many of us carry unhealed emotional wounds and traumas in our bodies. These may be related to pain we’ve endured over the course of our life, passed down from our ancestry, or absorbed from society. When unprocessed, held emotions, pain, and traumas can become “infected” and they create a wide range of symptoms, including mental and emotional health issues, fatigue, digestive problems, diseases, and a variety of physical ailments.*

In our natural state of wholeness, our energy is flowing and we are able to process a wide range of emotions and life experiences. We are relaxed, joyful, and at ease. However, if we have experienced repeated emotional injuries, stresses, or traumas, and have not had the time, resource, or support to process them, they can become stagnated pools of energy in our bodies. Not only do emotions and traumas get stuck, but our life force energy and vitality are blocked as well. Biodynamic bodywork can help unwind these patterns and gently guide us back to the wholeness of our being.

Clients can choose to receive biodynamic massage fully clothed, unclothed, or anywhere in between, depending on individual preferences and comfort. Matters related to consent, draping, and boundaries will be discussed at length before we venture into this type of work together. I offer more information on this modality in the video.

*If you are interested in learning more about how unhealed trauma impacts our health, please refer to work by Bessel van der Kolk (author of the book, The Body Keeps the Score) and Gabor Mate (author of books, When the Body Says No, Scattered Minds, and In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts).
